How to improve the student/supervisor relationshipHow to present case studies in a workshop Type of problems encountered whilst undertaking postgraduateThis text describes a series of case studies which reflects commonly seen problems encountered in the student/supervisor relationship. In the case studies, scenarios are used to convey important messages. Analysis of the case studies allows for solutions and preventative measures to be provided for the problems. In the Discussion, the reader has the opportunity to reflect on a key question from each scenario which is discussed in Appendix 1. An additional feature of the book is described in Appendix 2 whereby advice is given on how these case studies can be used in a teaching workshop setting. The target audience for the book are primarily supervisors of postgraduate degrees including those at Masters and Doctoral level, although relevant students might also find the contents of interest.
