To be successful businesses can no longer focus on profit alone. Modern companies must have a conscience - they must recognise that they have a contract with society and must participate in tackling problems of human rights, environmental sustainability, poverty, social exclusion and conflict facing local communities and the planet. The author examines which companies have got it right and which haven't and shows that it is no longer enough to talk about your values. To be successful you have to mean it.
