Dr. Betty M. Adelson is a retired psychologist, formerly on the counseling staffs of Queens College and New York University's School of Education. She spent most of her career as a psychologist in private practice in New York. She is the author of the recently published cultural history, The Lives of Dwarfs: Their Journey from Public Curiosity toward Social Liberation.
