This new A&D (Architecture and Design) series explores the close connections between contemporary architecture and interior design.The subject is illuminated by fascinating studies of leading architects and design studios.Private homes, public projects, office buildings and retail designs are all featured.Architect Pascal Van Der Kelen (born in 1963) started his own architectural firm in 1996, after having worked for Paul Robbrecht, Claire Bataille and Paul Ibens. All of his designs (which include a lot of private homes, but also a number of offices, art galleries, medical practices, boutiques, and other projects) are distinguished by an exquisite sense of serenity and by forms and lines that are pure and clean, yet still luxurious.
