Abdominal Ultrasoud

Abdominal Ultrasound gives the trainee and practising sonographer, radiologist or clinician a detailed and accessible guide to the techniques and diagnostic applications of ultrasound of this part of the body, with its complex multi-organ systems. It includes normal appearances and variations, discussion of the common clinical problems present in the abdomen and the main applications of ultrasonography in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of disease. The inclusion of clinical details helps give the non-medical sonographer an increased awareness of the clinical background to the patient. Throughout the book, there is an emphasis on the practical aspects of scanning procedure, with advice on how to avoid common pitfalls and obtain the most accurate and diagnostically useful images.
