Atlas of Tumor Pathology. Third Series. Fascicle 32. This is the latest and final fascicle in the third series and concerns tumours of the intestines. The authors provide a practical approach to the diagnosis of intestinal tumours as well as a comprehensive morphological description and differential diagnosis for the well-characterized tumour types. Pertinent clinical and prognostic information accompanies the description of each tumour. Although emphasis is given to diagnosis by conventional histological techniques, immunohistochemical staining patterns and molecular abnormalities are discussed for a better understanding of disease processes - especially for the polyposes and endocrine syndromic lesions. The book is divided into nine chapters: Normal anatomy and histology, Non-neoplastic polyps; Epithelial Neoplasia; Tumors of the Appendix; Tumors of the Anal Region: Endocrine Cell Tumors; Mesenchymal Tumors; Lymphoproliferative Disorders: and Metastatic Tumors.
