Although continually cited by the United Nations as one of the best places in the world to live, Canada has proved deadly for many Native peoples, among whom suicide is an all-too-common occurrence. The suicide rate of young Natives in Canada is among the highest in the world. This book focuses on the tragic suicide of artist Benjamin Chee Chee to illustrate the damaging impact of White society on Native people and culture.
