Darkest England

In this satirical novel, a Bushman from South Africa, ambassador David Mungo Booi, goes to England to ask the queen for protection of his tribe and to investigate the possibilities of founding a colony in England. A modern Candide, he is arrested as an undesirable alien, meets a collection of British eccentrics (including a viscount who wants him for his private safari park), and finally has an audience with the queen that's full of surprises for all concerned, including the reader
