The 24 artists chosen for representation in this superbly reproduced book create a magnificent fresco of contemporary Japanese fashion illustration and strike a balance between Japanese forms/images and aesthetic Euro-Western influence. It is important to understand that the Japanese perception of color is based on the meaning of the color of a particular object, not just-the color itself.
