Children's Book Corner A Read-aloud Resource with Tips

This fourth book completes the "Children's Book Corner" series. It provides a complete programme for those starting a read-aloud programme at home, in their classroom, or in a school or public library. This fourth volume focuses on read-alouds for children aged 10-12. Many of the read-alouds are novels and longer chapter books, but this volume also has a sprinkling of wonderful picture books for the older reader. It provides book lists, book selection ideas, as well as pre-reading, while-reading and post-reading questions and activities. Parent pull-out pages with helpful tips are provided that can be reproduced. Helpful appendices and an index furnish additional aides to structure a great read-aloud programme.
