Dennis Lau and NG Chun Man Architects and Engineers' (DLN's) architecture is characterised by its diversity in design language. There is no pre-determined or standardised architectural style stamped upon its work. DLN upholds a firm belief that architecture should be more than just building design. Each project is recognised as having a constructive urban role in the environment and urban fabric of the city as a whole. The positive engagement of buildings with their contexts is considered more important than the creation of stylised or fashionable forms that sacrifice urban priorities for aesthetic goals. DLN buildings are an integral part of city life and contribute a sense of humanity and a better living environment for the occupants, the neighbours and passersby. In a congested city like Hong Kong, this is an invaluable asset. Buildings featured include: The Golden Centre Star TV Broadcasting Centre Central Plaza Festival Walk The Harbour Front The Master Architect Series V features work of some of the world's leading architects and architectural firms in full colour. Each volume in the series includes an essay by an internationally recognised critic, or an introduction by the master architect. The projects selected for inclusion represent the most significant works from each stage of the architect's career, including works currently in progress. Project descriptions feature the architect's working drawings, plans and renderings, as well as full-colour photographs, many in large format.
