Enright, a relative newcomer to the world of glitzy television journalism, is finding life at KEY News difficult -- especially with a fanatical, hard-charging executive producer. But the assignment to cover the opening of a much-heralded play at the prestigious Warrenstown Summer Playhouse -- a play starring Academy Award-winning actress Belinda Winthrop -- could be Enright's chance to finally showcase her abilities. It's also an opportunity to bond with her new stepdaughter, Meg, who is apprenticing at the playhouse. But when Winthrop mysteriously disappears after the play's opening night, with a laundry list of potential suspects -- an obsessed artist, an ambitious understudy, a caretaker with a criminal past, et al. -- Enright must unmask the culprit before she and her stepdaughter become the next targets?
