Piano Tuner

During the Anglo-Burmese Wars of the 1880s, a London piano tuner named Edgar Drake is recruited to tune the piano for an army surgeon in Burma. What he finds when he gets there--about the surgeon, about Burma's political situation, and about himself--is a revelation both to the piano tuner and to the reader.
