Since the first edition was published in 1987, this book has become essential reading for owners and trainers of racing and competition horses, as well as veterinary surgeons and physiotherapists. Basic anatomy is explained and linked to common injury, followed by the various methods of treatment and the latest equipment. The book has been updated throughout and the chapter on rehabilitation has been expanded substantially to reflect the advances which have taken place.
