Pathology of Solid Tumors in Children

This illustrated volume deals with the diagnosis of childhood tumours, mainly from a pathologist's viewpoint, although it does also consider clinical features, treatment and longterm outcomes. While tumours in infants and children have always been recognized as different from those of adults, it has only been in the last two decades that concerted investigations into the uniqueness of these tumours has been undertaken. Details of the classic histological features of the common and not so common paediatric tumours are given, as are the immunohistochemical features that are important in the differential diagnosis of tumours with similar histological patterns.
