With the publication of Warsaw Tales in 2006, New Europe Writers embarked on a decade of effort to capture the spirit of 'New' Europe in a series of anthologies. Centred on a city, each volume aims to use the most interesting contemporary writing by new and established authors to convey the both the vibrancy and variety of experiences in these dynamic times. Prague Tales is the second volume in the series, and contains work of contemporary writers in English as well as Czech writers in translation. This use of varied perspective and style offers the reader a multiple views through Prague the Magical City to Bohemia and beyond, bringing travel and traditions together to entertain and inform, whilst hoping the reader will enjoy something of the literary scenery. *** New European Writers invites you to the launch of their recently released Prague Tales, an anthology of work by writers with an intimate experience of all sides of this city: the beautiful, the mesmerizing, the illusory and the corrupt. On May 5 at The Globe Bookstore editors James Coon and John A'Beckett will introduce the book, followed by readings from James Coon, Stephan Delbos, Adam Mezei and Bethany Shaffer. Launch begins at 9pm. Be there or be square!!
