Conn Iggulden studiował anglistykę na Uniwersytecie Londyńskim, przez kilka lat był nauczycielem, po czym poświęcił się pisarstwu. Jego pierwszy cykl, „Imperator”, od początku cieszył się ogromną popularnością i znalazł się na listach bestsellerów. W Polsce ukazał się również pierwszy tom cyklu o Czyngis-chanie oraz powieści dla dzieci.
