In the Country

There are always lots of things to do on a farm. In spring the fields are ploughed, in summer the sheep are sheared and the hay is cut. In autumn, the apples and potatoes are stored. In winter it's time to keep warm. Benedict Blathwayt has created detailed scenes of a busy farm through the seasons. Special words and vignettes pick out features in the different scenes so children, aged 3 plus, get a chance to look closely at the amazing detail of each image.
