International Trade & Policies for Genetically Modified Prod

There are a number of controversial issues that surround agricultural biotechnology and genetically modified products. International trade and policies are at the forefront of these controversies. This book addresses these issues and has been developed from a meeting of the International Consortium on Agricultural Biotechnology Research, held in Ravello, Italy, in July 2004. It covers: analytical studies, such as the labeling of genetically modified products in a global trading environment; empirical trade studies, such as commercialized products of biotechnology and trade pattern effects; spillover dimensions, including mergers, acquisitions and equilibrium trade models. It will be of significant interest to those studying biotechnology, plant breeding and genetics, and agricultural and food economics and policy.
