Floor is more than just a surface that serves the other parts of abuilding as foundation. Recently the classics of floor coverings likecarpet, wood, tile or linoleum have experienced a renaissance: moderntechniques, new colors, patterns and ornaments are applied and variousmaterials are combined. In this volume about 50 designers andmanufacturers are introduced with their outstanding projects andinnovative designs. The projects range from carpets for the interior tothe paving of broad plazas.
