Protecting the Clan

Two weeks have passed since Avery joined their clan, and Oren is glad to see how much the little ice dragon has grown. He’s no longer afraid of everything, but he wears his worry and uncertainty around him like a constant cloak, something Oren wishes he could help with. They’re a family, and being together is important. It strengthens their bond and brings them comfort. Avery being only with Donovan is unheard of in their world and Oren hopes that the rift their love has caused between them all will be temporary. The ice dragons have found Avery, and now they want him back. When they attack, Oren and Avery are taken, and their connection grows in their captivity. Oren will risk everything to keep his family safe, and that includes himself. He’ll die before he ever lets the ice dragons get their hands on Avery again.
